During our Sunday service, we have programs for children up to the age of eight.
Sunday School
One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts – Psalm 145:4.
Sunday School is held during the sermon every Sunday and is aimed at children from Prep to Grade 3. Each week includes a bible lesson, some singing and fun craft activities. The children enjoy learning more of God and the Bible together, as well as the opportunity to develop good relationships with other generations in our church family.
We are currently working through a curriculum called The ABCs of God, developed by Desiring God Ministries. This year we also have the goal of teaching the children the order of the books of the Bible, through song and games.
Creche
We seek to plant gospel seeds through song, bible readings, prayer and play – Stacey, creche coordinator.
Creche aims to plant gospel seeds in young children’s hearts while their parents listen to the sermon. Children aged from 8 months to 4 years old are welcome to come and play in a supervised and nurturing environment. We have lots of fun with books, cars, play-dough, colouring in and blocks. All Creche team members hold government blue cards.
Volunteers
Our policy for all volunteers working with children at Christ Community Church is that they followers of Jesus who have been attending the church for an appropriate length of time and who hold Blue Cards issued by the Commission for Children and Young People.
